Stendeck (www.stendeck.com)
Based in Lugano, Switzerland, Stendeck is a brilliant electronic act bouncing between ambient parts, distorted beats and noisy keys with the presence of acoustic instruments opening warm landscapes to the listener's ears.
The name Stendeck is a variation of the final strange Morse code radio message sent by the plane Stardust on August 2nd 1947 before its mysterious disappearance.
Stendeck was formed in 1999 when Alessandro Zampieri, at the age of 22, turned his attention to the new borders of electronic music. After two critically-acclaimed albums, "Can You Hear My Call?" and "Faces", Stendeck released his third album "Somnambula" in the winter 2008/09.
Thermidor (www.thermidor-project.net)
Debuted live in August 2005, Thermidor is the audiovisual experience/installation of a Portuguese artist known only as "J.". A narrative multi-dimensional and evolving project, with a definite theatrical component, Thermidor has also benefited from the collaboration of different video artists from the Portuguese contemporary scene for a more complete and unique sensorial experience.
An architect by formation, J. has developed the Thermidor concept in a wide variety of media from illustration, writing, to architecture projects, theatric performance and even poetry recitals. J. is currently working on a graphic novella with which to further push the boundaries of the 'Thermidor Universe'.
Freimatic (www.pidelabel.com/freimatic)
Freimatic is the Porto-based electronic band composed by Fulano47 and Lukkas. In addition to playing regularly, they have released original material and remixes through the labels Boxon Records (FR) and Catalytic (ES), respectively. They are now preparing to release their debut full-length of original material, titled "Click!".
Freimatic perform both as DJ set and as live act - the later being a true electronic live show supported by an impressive visual component.
"Electro, Techno, Minimal, Breaks...? You name it. We love what we do and THIS is what we do."
Operateur Fotokopieur (www.operateur-fotokopieur.ch)
n. (1996, Fr. 'opérateur photocopieur'). Technician in charge of supervising sound sequence reproduction and variations. As the sole human component of an otherwise exclusively technological process, the Operateur Fotokopieur is responsible for the progressive mutation, and eventual alienation, of the samples he enters in the system.
By ext. Any individual involved in experimenting, deconstructing, or partially torturing of the sounds he handles. "Both focused and worried, his arms deeply buried in an electronic toolbox, the opérateur fotokopieur was kneading sound waves in the manner of an extraterrestrial piloting his flying saucer. Neither a very complex manner, nor a very simple one." (NOIR).
